Muziektheater
CLASSICAL MUSIC
Located in the odd, mod Stopera building (which is half
stadhuis
, or town hall, and half
opera house), the Muziektheater is home to the Netherlands Opera and the National Ballet.
Free classical concerts (12.30pm to 1pm) are held most Tuesdays from September to June
in the Boekmanzaal. For a neat peek behind the scenes, take a building tour (€6) Saturdays
at noon.

Bethaniënklooster
This former monastery near Nieuwmarkt has a glorious ballroom, and is a great place to
take in exceptional chamber music. Jazz fills the air on Tuesdays.
