Vondelpark & Old South
Often called the Museum Quarter, the Old South holds the top-draw Van Gogh,
Stedelijk and Rijksmuseum collections. It's one of Amsterdam's richest neigh-
bourhoods, and impressive manors rise on the leafy streets. Vondelpark is the
city's bucolic playground next door, where joggers, picnickers, dope smokers,
accordion players and frolicking children all cheerfully coexist.
