Participation of household members in informal employment (vs the
formal sector) was associated with greater energy adequacy. This probably
reflects the fact that incomes from formal employment are much lower than
returns from informal activities given the current status of the Zimbabwean
economy.
Objective 5: Policies that enhance urban agriculture
Figure 4.2 is a representation of focus-group data and secondary data from the
Municipal Development Partnership (MDP, 2003), the central government and
Harare City Council. The views of both UA practitioners and policy makers
from the central government and the municipal administration were included.
