Many jobs have been generated in craft production as well as in the creation and
promotion of the niche market. And the program has been very successful such that
today more than 250 such products are being sold from the protected areas. This
is important in demonstrating to local people, Jordanians from across the country,
and especially decision makers that nature does have a quantifiable value and that
