All of RSCN's crafts and products are linked to conservation (Salti 1997). In other
words, the philosophy sells the products and the products sell the philosophy. This
novel socioeconomic and ecological project, Jordan's first experiment in ecotourism
and sustainable development for protected-area management, has completely revital-
ized the RSCN, giving it a clear vision and a cadre of committed and trained staff
(Johnson 1997, 2007).
