alarmingly, seem to frequent the visitor center (Figure 11.11). Radiating out from the
visitor center is the beginnings of a network of boardwalks that go out into the wet-
land (Figure 11.12) to provide that important immersion experience (France 2003)
and that are planned to be extended in the future. There is an attractive and functional
interpretive center that pays some attention to their use of alternative decentralized
wastewater management (Figure 11.13), such as that described in chapters 19 and 20.
A series of dioramas instructs visitors about the local biodiversity (Figure 11.14), and
panels contain information about the multifaceted role of the park in terms of envi-
ronmental study, restoration, protection, education, and sustainability (Figure 11.15).
