for the spectacular and giant video screen that looks down on you (an object of fas-
cination for kids), as well as for the decent mix of midrange brands such as Zara and
French Connection that the locals love.

China World Shopping Mall 国贸商城 国贸商城

Packed with top-name brands, including Burberry, Marc Jacobs and Prada, as well as
boutiques and jewellery stores, China World (1 Jianguomenwai Dajie 建国门外大街 1 号
; 10am-9.30pm; Guomao) is one of the more popular malls in Beijing. There's also
an ice rink in the basement, so if you feel like a skating break you know where to go.
