Options for Loading a SAS Dataset into Excel Using the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office

Worksheet
Controls the following:
the number of records to view.
whether or not record numbers are inserted into
the Excel worksheet.
whether or not to display data source and filter
information in the worksheet.
whether or not to create a pivot table.
whether or not to use the SAS OLAP Analyzer.
Location
New Worksheet
Name of a new worksheet to create.
Existing Worksheet
Supplies the location to place the data into an existing
worksheet.
New Workbook
Allows for the creation of a new workbook, usually named in
the form Book n , where n is the next number not used for an
Excel workbook named BOOK.

Figure 7.4 shows the browse window that you can use to look for your SAS datasets to call into Excel using
the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office. Excel has the only add-in that allows you read SAS datasets directly.
