Lac Canh 44 Nguyen Binh Khiem. Set in the quiet streets
east of Cho Dam, Lac Canh is locally renowned for its
mouth- and eye-watering cooked-at-table barbecues

Lanterns 72 Nguyen Thien Thuat. Pleasant little
restaurant offering a range of Vietnamese and Western
dishes; the claypot dishes are particularly good (from
80,000VND). Some of the profits go to a local orphanage,

Nha Hang Yen 3/2A Tran Quang Khai. Expertly prepared
Vietnamese dishes are the name of the game here;
standout choices include claypot dishes, imperial pork
spring rolls and zesty papaya salad. Mains from

Cuon Cuon 3/9 Trang Quang Khai. Tucked away down a
side street, this friendly restaurant, decorated with colourful
prints and carnival masks, serves roll-your-own fresh spring
rolls (75,000VND), fragrant curries (105,000VND), pho and
other delicious Vietnamese dishes. Daily 11.30am-10pm.
Ganesh T82 Nguyen Thien Thuat. Arguably the best
Indian restaurant in Nha Trang, Ganesh serves authentic
northern Indian dishes, accompanied by superb lassis.
The thalis - vegetarian or seafood (159,000-179,000VND)
- make a great complete meal. Mains from 75,000VND.

Good Morning Vietnam 19D Biet Thu. Clichéd name
aside, this is a good stop for lasagne, pasta and pizza, and the
strong Vietnamese coffees make for a very good morning
indeed. Mains from 90,000VND. Daily 7.30am-11pm.
La Parisienne 3/2 Tran Quang Khai. Come here for
breakfast (American, continental or French toast), cakes
(50,000VND) and coffee. Daily 7am-7pm.
Texas BBQ 26a Tran Quang Khai. American-run,
with American music, American service and meat
imported from the United States. This popular steak-house
serves up excellent flame-grilled burgers (100,000VND)
and huge plates of melt-in-your-mouth ribs with home-
made coleslaw and baked potatoes (195,000VND). Daily
noon-11pm.
DRINKING AND NIGHTLIFE
Crazy Kim Bar 19 Biet Thu. Enjoy the huge cocktails
during the 4.30-10.30pm happy “hour”, or drop by for a
hangover breakfast (60,000VND). A percentage of the
profits goes towards Kim's campaign to assist vulnerable
street children, and accommodation is offered to
