PROBOLINGGO , the mango capital of
Indonesia and the most popular access
point for Bromo, is 100km southeast
of Surabaya. he train station is on the
northern side of the alun-alun , while
the Bayu Angga bus terminal is 6km
southwest of the leafy town centre,
connected by yellow microlets (Rp5000).
From here to Cemoro Lawang are two
daily buses - labelled “Sukapura” and
“Ngadisari” on the front - as well as
frequent minibuses from just outside the
terminal, running until 4pm (Rp20,000).
Regular buses also link Banyuwangi

46km from Probolinggo, sits on the
crater's edge and offers the easiest
launching point for the pre-dawn
excursion to Gunung Bromo itself. he
precipice at the end of Cemoro Lawang
gives brilliant views of the entire area
