Removing the Power Connector
1. Then, remove approximately two inches of plastic insulation from the end of the
wire using a wire stripping tool. To do this, use the set-screw to configure the tool
to the correct gauge of wire (you can take a guess here), or just do it by 'feel'. It's
okay if you make a mistake here since you have lots of wire to play with.

The idea is to make an initial cut to get down to the bare wire.
