Europe's only permanent big top has everything one would expect from a circus, including
acrobats, big cats and daredevils on horseback. Performances are usually at 3pm Wednesday
to Sunday, with additional shows at 11am and 7pm on Saturday and at 11am on Sunday, but
call ahead or check the website.

Hungary's national football team plays at the erstwhile 'People's Stadium', at full capacity
capable of accommodating almost 70,000 fans. But don't expect any miracles.
WORTH A DETOUR
HUNGARORING
Reintroduced in 1986 after a break of half a century, the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand
Prix, Hungary's prime sporting event, is part of the World Championship Series that
takes place at the Hungaroring ( www.hungaroring.hu ) in Mogyoród, 24km northeast of
Budapest, in late July. Practice is on the Friday, the qualifying warm-up on Saturday
and the race begins after morning practice at 2pm on Sunday. The seats with the best
views of the starting grid are Super Gold ones (and are covered) and cost €498 for
the weekend; cheaper are Gold (€298 to €330) and Silver (€199 to €250) tickets.
Standing room costs €90 for the weekend, €80 for Sunday.
