One of the most ambitious eateries in Budapest, this self-styled 'boutique restaurant' in the
unlikely northern wilds of Újlipótváros is under the watchful gaze of chef Gábor Mogyor-
ósi, who puts a eclectic spin on old favourites (bok choy with guinea fowl, Japanese mush-
rooms with oxtail). The daily two-course lunch is a snip at 2200Ft.
Mogyorósi's five-course tasting menu is 6500Ft.

Trying to be all things to all people - restaurant, bar, gallery, open-air cinema, disco and
kert
(outdoor garden club) - is not always advisable, but the 'Moon Court', occupying a huge in-
door and outdoor space on Margaret Island, does a decent job of juggling all five tasks.
Most people, though, come for the pulsating seasonal outdoor club (no noise worries
here!), which rocks to different music styles each night.

Built in 1938 as a cinema, this Art Deco place with a lovely upstairs gallery and views of
Szent István Park is also a restaurant. But we still think of - and use - it as a
cukrászda
