) operate Finland's mass transportation
system. High-speed Pendolino S 220 trains and InterCity and express trains
provide long-distance services, and local and commuter trains provide connections
for shorter routes. The variety of
Eurail passes
is accepted on the national rail
network of Finland, and the group/student rate applies on the crossing by Finnjet
from Helsinki to Rostock (Germany) and is available when reservations are made
seven days before departure in Budget or Tourist IS class. Free transport is also
offered on buses operating as train substitutes during certain hours. The national
rail pass and the regional
Eurail Scandinavia Pass
are also accepted.
