The nitroglycerine emulsion exhibits a certain detonation velocity. The deto-
nation velocity of nitroglycerine emulsions with water is listed in Table 5.48 .
The emulsions with a ratio of water to nitroglycerine over 2:1 cannot be
exploded. The detonation reaction of nitroglycerine with low detonation velocity is
done by the following equation.
