throw from the pier. The Shorebreak has a surf concierge, a fitness center and yoga studio,
beanbag chairs in the lobby, and rattan and hardwood furniture in geometric-patterned
rooms. Have sunset cocktails on the upstairs deck at Zimzala restaurant. Parking is $27.

The backdrop: miles and miles of gorgeous deep-blue sea. This 100% nonsmoking hotel
has a giant tower from which every room has an angled balcony for ocean view. Rooms
are plush but tempered with earth tones. Bicycle rentals available. Parking $30.
Huntington Surf Inn MOTEL

You're paying for location at this two-story motel just south of Main St and across from
the beach. Nine of its rooms were recently redesigned by surf company Hurley in conjunc-
tion with surfers - cool, brah. There's a small common deck area with a beach view.

There's no shortage of taco stands in HB, but locals are fiercely dedicated to Sancho's,
across from the beach. This two-room shack with patio grills flounder, shrimp and tri-tip to
order. Trippy Mexican-meets-skater art.
