Explore the coast while zipping along the 8.5-mile paved recreational path from Hunt-
ington State Beach north to Bolsa Chica State Beach. Rent beach cruisers ($10/30 per
hour/day) or tandem bikes ($18/50) at Zack's Pier Plaza .
Frisbee
Throw a disc back and forth for hours on the beach, or test your skills at the Huntington
Beach Disc Golf Course (Huntington Central Park, 18381 Goldenwest St; admission $1-2) . Aim
for baskets at this scenic 18-hole course, downhill from the sports complex. The on-site
pro shop sells discs.
Festivals & Events
Every Tuesday brings Surf City Nights, a street fair on the first three blocks of Main St,
with live music, farmers market goodies, a petting zoo and bounce house for kids, and
crafts and sidewalk sales for grownups.
Car buffs, get up early on Saturday mornings for the Donut Derelicts Car Show
( www.donutderelicts.com ) , a weekly gathering of woodies, beach cruisers and pimped-out
street rods at the corner of Magnolia St and Adams Ave, 2.5 miles inland from Pacific
Coast Hwy.
US Open of Surfing SURFING

In late July and early August, this six-star competition lasts several days and draws more
than 600 world-class surfers. Festivities include beach concerts, motocross shows and
skateboard jams.
Huntington Harbor Cruise of Lights CHRISTMAS
