11.4.1 Old medieval housing units of L'Aquila downtown
The old medieval centre of L'Aquila town, Italy; was subjected to the 2009
Italian earthquake. Twenty-two buildings in Piazza del Duomo and the
entire road network have been modelled with realistic features (Figs
11.14a,b) using the data from Open Street Map website (http://www.
