Table 2. Genes for the growth of a 7 elements

where the starting length 3 vertical structure also
underwent its changes. The final development of
the structure can be observed in Figure 11.

The last of these simple tests was the construction
of a 3x3 square from the population of the length
3 horizontal bar of the previous section.
The solution has 11 genes and the clock signal
role is played by the 7 first genes, which are almost
identical (they vary between 2 sequences, they
are constitutive, and they do not have promoters,
therefore the activation percentage is not impor-
tant). These 7 genes are summed up in the first
row of the Table 5. Although the exact reason is
not known, nature also tends to complicate the
solution with redundant information, as explained
in (Kaneko, 2006).
The remaining genes generate the shape and
stabilize it. A group of genes would work as system
clock by periodically introducing the 0100 and
0101 proteins. Genes 8 and 10 are expressed due
to their low activation percentages. In the long
run, they could induce the system to distribute
the concentration among several proteins and
then genes 9 and 11 would not be expressed.
These two genes induce the growth and, due to
their high activation percentage, their expression
would only be possible during the first cycles,
Besides being the gene that induces upwards
structure growth, it is also the one that later serves
as a clock signal for other genes. The resulting
tissue can be seen in Figure 10.
Length Horizontal Bar
After the previous tests, the orientation change
for structure growth still remained to be done.
For horizontal growth, we used the population
obtained after the vertical growth of a length
3 bar together with a consequently modified
template. The resulting configuration is shown
in Table 4.
Although the data are different, the three roles
that were identified in the previous tests were
also detected in the present test. The growth of
the subsequent DNA results in a 3 cells structure
that grows leftwards.
The structure undergoes changes during
the cycles 3 and 7. These cycles match the ones
