Outdoor Markets
The outdoor street markets described in Chapter Six usually
carry non-food kitchen items, clothes, umbrellas, some
cosmetics and sometimes even furniture. For an interesting
artisans' market, try:
Marché Parisien de la Création; boulevard Richard Lenoir
at Place de la Bastille. In Montparnasse, at the entrance to
the Edgar Quinet Métro (Line 6), some 120 artisans display
their creations in this art and design market. Open Sunday,
10:00 am-7:00pm.
Flea Markets
1 er : Marché aux Puces d'Aligre; Place d'Aligre. Good flea
market selling mostly household odds and ends, but
ther are also good discounted clothing shops. Open from
Tuedays-Sundays.
