And Stanley rented that woman's room out the very next day! He got his guys
in there, pulled out the bloody carpet and threw some paint on the bloody walls.
It seemed like it got the mojo off the room really fast, exorcised the demons. I
think that was Stanley's way of saying, “Okay, life goes on.” He made a point
of renting those rooms out right away. He'd probably tell you I'm full of it, but
that's my opinion about why he turned those rooms over as quickly as possible.
JERRY WEINSTEIN
It depended on the condition of the room. If it was really destroyed, you couldn't
do that. But if it was just moderately turmoiled, so to speak, we could do it. We
would turn rooms over in one day. But if someone killed themselves, the room
would be sealed by the police. We couldn't go in there.
