ORGANIZATIONAL SCORING SuMMARY
Becoming a data fluent organization is a long-term endeavor. Employees come
and go. Policies change. Leaders change. Organizational culture can change
over time for the better or for the worse. Obtaining a data fluency score for
a team, department, division or organization can be a healthy way to begin
a discussion about what matters most in an organization.
With a score for each of the four components of the Data Fluency Framework,
an average of the four components produces an Organizational Data Fluency
Score. Drawing an analogy to language acquisition, it takes time to become

zations assess their level of data fluency, individuals interested in improving
their skills with regard to data literacy and data product authoring can also
