friendly. The ambience, with original, changing artwork on the walls, is bright and brisk,
and prices are reasonable. Vegetables and meat are sourced locally, wherever feasible. For

Within what began life as an 18th-
century coaching inn are several cosy rooms with poky angles and listing floors. It's a hy-
perfriendly place where you can tuck into tasty dishes, such as its renowned fish soup ('the
best in all Norway', a couple of diners assured us), while always leaving a cranny for a
gooey homemade cake (around Nkr50).
