It's the giant black-and-white photographs of the town
and its environs that first grab the eye on entering one of the rooms at this well-managed
hotel. Closer inspection reveals that everything else about this modern hotel is equally ap-
pealing, although the winter prices are steep.

A few doors down from Kongsberg Kirke, this fine dining restaurant is complemented by
a pleasant cafe where lighter meals are available at the outdoor tables in summer. In the
