3.4.2.4 Temperature Distribution during Fuel Changeover
One of the characteristics of a regenerative combustion process is its alternating
operation at short intervals. We simulated the time history of the temperature dis-
tribution to see the flow behaviors in the furnace at the time of fuel changeover. The
serial temperature distributions during the changeover are shown in Figure 3.19 ,
starting at t = 0 when the working burner is shut down and the resting burner on
the opposite side is ignited simultaneously.
