For example, if you want to bind your
sqlcmd
command line application to a particular CPU node, you
can issue the following statement in a command prompt:
sqlcmd -E -Sservername,1438
Similarly, you can put the port number into your connection string for any specific application. That
application will be bound to the CPU nodes you defined in SQL Server Configuration Manager.
