Commercial Textures
Texture sets can be a quick and powerful way to add photographic detail to your scenes. Many companies
such as Arroway Textures even offer free samples to try in your materials. These can be a worthwhile
investment if you find yourself creating a lot of materials beyond those that ship with the application.
The last texture remaining is the curb. This is a great location for the layered paint/concrete material cre-
ated in the previous section. Just as with the other presets, you will need to make some adjustments to the
scale and orientation of both the base concrete and the paint layers. With some adjustment, this material will
be properly assembled. As you can see in Figure 12-15 , something in the paint chips needs to be adjusted to
get the curb looking right.
