food using fresh ingredients. Classics include “Imam
Fainted” (aubergines with pine nuts, peppers and tomato-
herb sauce; €8.60) and lamb skewers (€11.90). The interior
is simple and spacious; the terrace, overlooking the
Landwehrkanal, is lovely in summer.

created quite a buzz in a city hopelessly devoid of Caribbean
cuisine. There's plenty of Jerk-style food on the menu, but
also dishes like oven-roast pork fillet, mango-ginger lentil

functions as an art space and hosts DJs.
