Assigning Quota to limit resources by users
To assign Quota to an individual user or group, perform the following steps:
1. Log in to the administrator portal, navigate to the Quota tab, and select Quota
from the list.
2. Select Consumers from the bottom pane. This will open the Assign user and
Groups to Quota window.
3. Choose the domain from the Search field's drop-down menu, and click on GO .
Now, select the user to whom Quota will be assigned.
4. Now, log in with the user from the user portal, and try to create a virtual machine
with the running resource and storage resource exceeding the defined threshold for
Quota to be tested.
If you set your Quota mode to audit, it will allow you to start your virtual machine
even though the defined limit exceeds the threshold, and if the quota mode is set to
enforcing, it will prevent you from starting a new virtual machine with the Quota
exceed error.
