Assigning Quota to virtual machine objects
To assign Quota to a virtual machine and its virtual disks, perform the following steps:
1. Log in to the administrator portal and navigate to the Virtual Machine tab.
2. Select the virtual machine and click on Edit . This will open the Edit Virtual
Machine window.
3. Select the Quota to be consumed by the virtual machine from the drop-down menu
and click on OK .
4. Next, we need to assign Quota to virtual machines' virtual disks.
5. Select the virtual machine, and move to the Disks tab of the selected virtual ma-
chine from the bottom pane.
6. Select the virtual disk, and click on Edit . In the Virtual disk edit window, select
Quota from the drop-down menu and click on OK .
Now, we have Quota applied to both virtual machines and their virtual hard disks.
If you start the virtual machine now, then the Quota warning message will go away
if the consumption does not exceed the threshold and Quota is set in the audit
mode. If Quota is set in the enforcing mode, the manager will prevent you from
starting the virtual machine if the Quota limit for the user or groups exceeds.
