The solution requires two dummy activities (or simply dummies ) (Figure 3.4).

From the previous examples, we can define a dummy activity as a fictitious activity
inserted in an arrow network to maintain proper logic or to distinguish the activ-
ities' identities. Two more examples demonstrate the need for dummy activities to
straighten up the logic.
