Sat., 9am-7:30pm Sun.) all offer island surf apparel for looking the part in one of the hap-
piest surf towns in the United States.
Clothing and Swimwear
The only genre of shopping which rivals surf gear in Pa'ia is women's clothing boutiques
and bikini stores. Along Baldwin Avenue, Alice in Hulaland (19 Baldwin Ave., 808/
579-9922, www.aliceinhulaland.com ) offers a snarky range of clothing and accessories,
and Mahina (23 Baldwin Ave., 808/579-9132, www.shopmahina.com , 9:30am-8pm
Mon.-Sat., 10am-6pm Sun.) offers trendy women's clothing which can also be found in
its sister stores all around the island. On the finer end of apparel is Nuage Bleu (76
Hana Hwy., 808/579-9792, www.nuagebleu.com , 9:30am-6pm daily) and Tamara Catz
(83 Hana Hwy., 808/579-9184, www.tamaracatz.com , 10am-6pm daily) which sit along
Hana Highway toward the entrance to town. These are two of the more popular clothing
boutiques among elegant and fashionable locals.
When it comes to bikinis, sun-seekers will love bouncing around between Pakaloha
(151 Hana Hwy., 808/579-8882, www.pakalohamaui.com , 10:30am-6pm daily), Maui
Girl (12 Baldwin Ave., 808/579-9266, www.maui-girl.com , 9am-6pm daily), and Letarte
(24 Baldwin Ave., 808/579-6022, www.letarteswimwear.com , 10am-6pm daily), the latter
two advertising that their bikinis were featured in the 2013 Sports Illustrated magazine
shoot.
Jewelry
While Pa'ia doesn't boast nearly the same number of jewelry stores as Lahaina, Studio
22K (161 Hana Hwy., 808/579-8167, www.studio22k.com , 10am-6pm Tues.-Sat.) on the
far Hana side of town is a small studio that specializes in handmade 22 karat gold items
with metal malleable enough to morph into all sorts of twisting shapes and designs.
If sterling silver is more of what you're looking for, Oceania Maui (120 Hana Hwy.,
808/579-6063, www.oceaniamaui.com , 10am-6:30am daily) operates a gallery between
Charley's restaurant and the Da Kine surf shop that has a wide range of over 400 sterling
silver jewelry designs.
If you would prefer to make your own jewelry, Aloha Bead Company (43 Hana Hwy.,
808/579-9709, www.alohabead.com , 10:30am-5:30pm Mon.-Sat., 11am-5pm Sun.) right
next door to Pa'ia Bay Coffee has a huge selection of beads and glass for creating unique
island-inspired accessories.
