POST OFFICE
Makawao
The United States Post Office (1075 Makawao Ave., 808/572-0019, 9am-4:30pm Mon.-
Fri., 9am-11am Sat.) is within walking distance from the town center and provides a full
range of postal services.
Pukalani
The Pukalani United States Post Office (55 Pukalani St., 808/572-0019, 9am-4pm Mon.-
Fri.) is much smaller than the one in Makawao but still offers the same range of shipping
options.
Kula
Next to Kula Elementary School, the United States Post Office (4450 Kula Hwy., 808/
876-1056, 8am-4pm Mon.-Fri., 9:30am-11:30am Sat.) is the town's only option for pack-
ing and shipping needs.
LIBRARY
The Makawao Public Library (1159 Makawao Ave., 808/573-8785, noon-8pm Mon. and
Wed., 9:30am-5pm Tues., Thurs., Sat.) offers a decent selection of used reading material.
The convenient location in the center of town makes it a nice place to browse for some
reading material after enjoying a coffee at the town's cafés.
INTERNET SERVICES
To use a desktop computer at the Makawao Public Library (1159 Makawao Ave., 808/
573-8785, noon-8pm Mon. and Wed., 9:30am-5pm Tues., Thurs., Sat.) nonresidents need
to purchase a nonresident Hawai'i library card which costs $10 for three months or $25 for
five years. Wi-Fi is also available, although you still need to enter a valid library card num-
ber to access the system. For free Wi-Fi, you can also stop in at Starbucks in the Pukalani
Terrace Center, or McDonald's in Pukalani.
