In-Depth Information
Kihei
Since the main hospital for the island is all the way in Wailuku, your best option for med-
ical services in Kihei is at the
Kihei-Wailea Medical Center
(221 Pi'ikea Ave., 808/
874-8100,
www.kiheiwaileamedicalcenter.com
, 8am-8pm Mon.-Fri., 8am-5pm Sat.-Sun.)
in the Pi'ilani Shopping Center.
Wailea
If you're bodysurfing at Big Beach and end up with a shoulder popped out of your socket
(or any other sort of beach injury), head right to
Wailea Medical Center
(161 Wailea Ike
Pl., 808/874-8333,
www.waileamedicalcenter.com
, 8am-5pm daily) where in addition to
operating an urgent care clinic, they also specialize in treating a wide range of beach injur-
ies.
Kihei
The only banks in all of South Maui are in Kihei, and among them are
Bank of Hawaii
(808/879-5844) at Azeka Mauka,
First Hawaiian Bank
(808/875-0055) at the Lipoa
Center, and an
American Savings Bank
(808/879-1977) at the Pi'ilani Village Shopping
Center.
Ma'alaea
There is one
76
gas station at the only stoplight in Ma'alaea. Stop here if you're traveling
to Lahaina and the gas light has already come on, since there isn't another option for a
good 12 miles.
Kihei
You can find gas stations at the Kihei Gateway Plaza, Pi'ilani Village Shopping Center,
Lipoa Center, Azeka Mauka, and the ABC Shopping Center. There are no gas stations in
Wailea or Makena, so top off here if your tank is getting low.
