It
s quite easy to create a water-based area and fill it with water. In Figure 13.9
you can see a river, which is effectively a ditch cut out in the terrain; a water area
is then placed at a certain level to fill the ditch. You can also raise and lower the
water to create different effects; you could flood the whole valley by just moving
the water upwards, an effect that

s shown in Figure 13.11.
Using Sound Zones
A Sound zone is a common type of trigger object in games. When players enter a
particular area, a sound file will play. You may want to vary the sounds played in
a particular area, such as cricket sounds or bird song. In a horror game, the
Sound zones might include a bloody curdling scream, footsteps, or heavy
breathing.
