We have completed the construction phase plan so far as we are able on the
basis of the information currently to hand. The purpose of the plan is to show
the way in which the construction phase is to be managed and the important
health and safety issues in this project.
We take the opportunity to enclose a full copy of the plan for your comments
and use. Please note that it is not to be treated as a mere paper exercise. Rather,
it is an important tool in the construction process and something which is a
mandatory requirement under the Construction (Design and Management)
Regulations 2007. You will see that the plan is divided into the following main
parts:
description of the project,
management of the work,
arrangements for controlling significant site risks,
health and safety file.
