To architect, if final certificate not issued on the due date (a)
This letter is only suitable for use with SBC.

Dear
Clause 30.8 of the conditions of contract requires you to issue the final
certificate within 2 months from the latest of the following events:
1.
The end of the rectification period/last rectification period [ delete as
appropriate ]-[ insert date ].
2.
Date of issue of the certificate of making good/last certificate of making
good [ delete as appropriate ]-[ insert date on certificate ].
3.
The date on which you sent us a copy of the statement and ascertainment
under clause 4.5.2 - [ insert date or, if the architect has not sent an ascertainment
and statement, add the following: ] In this instance, you have not sent us such
ascertainment and statement which should have been issued on the [ insert
date ].
Therefore, the final certificate should have been issued on the [ insert date
calculated as above ]. Some [ insert number ] weeks have passed since that date and
we have received no such certificate. You are in breach of contract, a breach for
which, we are advised, the employer will become liable after receipt of this
notification. Without prejudice to our rights in this matter, if the final certificate
is in our hands by [ insert date ], we will take no further action on such breach.
