We have today uncovered [ describe ] which we consider falls within the
provisions of clause 3.22 [ substitute '3.15' when using DB or '32(3)' when using

We have stopped work in the vicinity and erected a temporary wooden fence
and waterproof cover. We should be pleased to receive your immediate

The progress of the Works is being delayed by the above circumstances which
we consider to be a relevant event under clause 2.29.2.1 [ substitute '2.26.2.1'
when using DB ]. When the delay is finished we will furnish you with our
estimate of delay in the completion of the Works and further supporting
particulars. You may be assured that we are using our best endeavours to
prevent delay in progress and completion of the Works. Please take this as
notice in accordance with clause 2.27.1 [ substitute '2.24.1' when using DB ]. We
further consider that we are entitled to reimbursement for direct loss and/or
expense under the provisions of clause 3.24 [ substitute '3.17' when using DB ].
