AUTOPLAY

AutoPlay enables you to select what program to use for various types of media or hardware. For example, you can specify that both CDs containing music and DVDs containing movies open automatically in Windows Media Player, that media card readers containing image files open in Photo Gallery, and so on.
If you do not want AutoPlay to launch a particular program when you insert media with certain types of files, you can configure it to prompt you to select the program you want to use on a case-by-case basis. Alternatively, you can disable AutoPlay entirely.
To change your PC’s AutoPlay settings, you use the AutoPlay window, accessible via Control Panel.
