We should keep in mind that an Asterisk server is just a computer system and is as vulnerable to breaches and hardware problems as any other computer. Hardware problems and failures are a fact of life and caution should be taken with an Asterisk server as with any other server. With proper security measures and a solid backup strategy our Asterisk system can be well-protected and guarded against any catastrophic problem.
