Bit-O-Honey

Produced by the Schutter-Johnson Company of Chicago in 1924, this confection consisted of six small, individually-wrapped blocks of taffy, each containing an almond; the bite-size portions were enclosed in a wrapper to resemble a candy bar. In the 1950s and 1960s, the product’s advertising featured a jingle that went “Bit-O-Honey goes a long, long way—if you have one head, it’ll last all day.” Today, Bit-O-Honey is manufactured by the Nestle SA Food Corporation.
