Built in 1854 and originally called the Temperance Hotel, the Garrison House Inn is a three-story mansion with seven unique rooms to rent and views that overlook the 20-acre National Park of Historic Fort Anne. The building operated as a hotel until 1920 when a wealthy doctor purchased the building to house his family and his practice. In 1971, it went back to being an inn when a new owner bought the building. Today, the inn is full of antiques and furnishings from the late-19th century. But one of its guest rooms holds another kind of old relic from the past. The ghost of a little girl named Emily has been said to make her presence known on some foggy summer nights. She’s only shown herself to women, and she’s become an endeared soul to the staff of the inn.
