Plate 5.3 Cloud streets in Davis Strait from MODIS visible imagery. In late March 2002, winter ice is still blocking
much of the northern portion of the Strait. The streamers of cloud are referred to as 'cloud streets'. They are formed
when cold Arctic air moves warmer, open water. Usually the streets are aligned in the direction of a low-level wind.
