In-Depth Information
The Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church, located on the corner of Main and Eighth Streets,
was one of several Point Pleasant churches visited by the 1937 floodwaters. But the mem-
bers of the various congregations were undiscouraged. Once the water receded, they
quickly cleared away the mud and resumed services. Many of the town's businesses, too,
were closed for only a brief while. (Courtesy Point Pleasant River Museum.)
