This view of Huntington's flooded Ninth Street in 1913 looks south from Third Avenue. The
bell tower just right of center in the photograph is Huntington's first city hall, which also
housed the fire department and city jail. The arch extending over the flooded street was part
of an early system of electric lights used to illuminate the streets at night.
