recent updates of Müller et al . (2005) for the Triassic succession and Morris et al . (2009) for the Åre Formation. The
lithostratigraphy in the Viking Graben follows the nomenclature of Vollset and Doré (1984) and the updated definitions of
Lervik (2006) and Nystuen et al . (this volume). The absolute time scale (Ma) follows Ogg et al . (2008), with the Triassic to
Jurassic boundary at 199.6 Ma.
