Will serve as the main coordinator to the
planning team. Responsibilities include
scheduling meetings, notifying team
members of meetings.
Staff Coordinator
Ambulance Services
Will review and update COOP plan
documentation on a quarterly basis.
Operations Manager
Emergency Services
Responsible for the training of agency
personnel in the actions and
responsibilities contained within the
plan in preparation of a COOP event.
Training Coordinator
Fire and Rescue
Will document all developments and
changes for the COOP.
Team members are responsible for the following:
Understanding their continuity roles and responsibilities within their respec-
tive organizations.
Knowing and being committed to their duties in a continuity environment.
Understanding and being willing to perform in continuity situations to
ensure an organization can continue its essential functions.
Ensuring that family members are prepared for and taken care of in an emer-
gency situation.
Orders of Succession
All organizations are responsible for establishing, promulgating, and maintaining
orders of succession to key positions. Simply stated, orders of succession can be
summed up by the statement “Who comes next?” It is critical to have a clear line
of succession to office established in the event leadership becomes debilitated or
