not otherwise be available.
• Innovative solutions
Partnership may bring new ideas to a
project that may not have previously been
considered by a single entity.
• Cost effectiveness
Pooling of resources may allow for less
time to be spent on a project or effort, thus
potentially saving costs.
• Enhanced level of
preparedness
Planning, training, and drilling or
exercising together will allow for a more
effective joint response and recovery
following a disaster.
• Exposure/indirect marketing
Although the partnership probably will not
offer itself to direct marketing, the
partnership may allow for some brand
name recognition through sponsorships or
other means.
• Community service
Companies typically want to give back to
the community, and the partnership may
allow them an opportunity to do so.
• Proit
If a public sector entity is contracting/
paying for a service or product, then profit
may serve as one of the benefits of the
partnership.
• Relationship building
Inherently, building a partnership should
build a relationship that will enhance
future efforts dealing with disaster
prevention, mitigation, preparedness,
response, and recovery.
