higher frequencies of the calculated response compared to that of the measured signal.
To reduce the dominant frequency of the dam, the shear stiffness had to decrease. Thus,
to maintain settlement profiles and pore pressure in the core, the shear modulus of the
rock was reduced. Moreover, this decrease in shear stiffness is compensated for by
an increase in the volumetric stiffness through the elastic and plastic compressibility
moduli. Both sets of parameters are summarized in Table A.4 (section 9.8). For lack
of information, the mechanical parameters of the transition zone were chosen to be
