The protocol was based on semi-structured interviews as defi ned by Huntington,
with free and open answers, and interventions to encourage interviewees to develop
specifi c points (Huntington 1998 ). The interviews focused on two dimensions:
(1) the usual practices of the actors, i.e. what they usually do (and how they do it)
